Over 200 meters above the Atlantic Ocean in the heart of the Rias Baixas region of the Spain, Adegas D'Altamira first planted vines more than 70 years ago.
Throughout the 20th Century, the Garrido/Tourino family continued to grow Albarino on one of the most prized vineyard locations in the entire region. Since the area is known for its humidity, Altamira's proximity to the ocean breezes and the soil's natural drainage make it an ideal place for the Albarino grape to ripen.
Now the winery is equiped with state-of-the-art technology and is considered among the very best of aged Albarino from Rias Biaxas.
