Bodegas Alto Moncayo is situated in the Campo de Borja region of Spain. This winery sits on top very unique soils of red clay mixed with red slate. Due to its hillside location the soils are very poor in organic matter and shallow. A few sites have calcareous soils.The main grape varietals grown at Bodegas Alto Moncayo are Garnacha and Tempranillo. The wine are made under supervision of an Australian winemaker, Chris Ringland.
