In 1997, on the occasioin of the stock market listing, Baron de Ley annouced plans to expand outside the Rioja region. One year later, the pledge started to become a reality. Cigales has been a grape-growing and winemaking region for hundreds of years; but now it creates less wine than earlier in the 20th century. Finca Museum now working on 65 hectares of vineyards which producing very high quality grapes.
