Founded in Temecula, Califronia, in 1968, by legendary marketer, Ely Callaway, Callaway Winery became the first premium wine producer fro Southern California. Using the latest cold-fermentation wine-making technologies, Callaway quickly gained recognition as a producer of high quality white wines at a time when California was jut becoming known as a source of world class wine.

Determined to restore the prominence of the Callaway label, Shaw-Ross engaged the Delicato Winery to craft wine in the Callaway “style” pioneered by Ely Callaway 40 years ago. Crushing and processing some 12 million cases for over 40 wineries ranging from Beringer and Robert Mondavi to Bonny Doon and Estancia, Delicato has established a strong reputation as a “winemaker’s winemaker,” in addition to producing award-winning wines under its own label.
