Colonia Las Liebres, a sister brand of Altos las Hormigas, founded in 1995, owned by an electrical group of Italian wine professionals. Focused on production of Malbec and Bonarda. The Vineyards at Los Campamentos, Rivadavia, this is the best area for this variety. The name ‘Colonia’ (colony) represents a faraway place, an outpost where life is different, and ‘Las Liebres’ (the hares) expresses simplicity and innocence.

Bonarda is an Italian grape brought to Mendoza by Italian immigrants more than 80 years ago from Piedmont.
