Diamond Terrace is the result of a dream that started in 1988 with a 5-acre Cabernet vineyard on Diamond Mountain, just south of the town of Calistoga. After establishing the Diamond Terrace label and producing 6 vintages of Diamond Mountain Cabernet we felt ready to add another wine to our portfolio. In 2005 we brought our dream full circle by producing a Howell Mountain Cabernet from the Eagle Summit vineyard. Winemaker Thomas Brown (Outpost, Schrader Cellars, Rivers-Marie) crafts Diamond Terrace at Outpost just up the road from our Howell Mountain property. Every year we select the best fruit from each of our vineyards to produce small quantities of each wine. We strive to create reserve wines that highlight the distinct characteristics of each of their mountain appellations.
