The Domino Dostares project is centered within the Vinos de Leon region and the wines bear the quality designation Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y Leon. The philosophy is to develop the best possible wines from the regions native varietals and to revitalize the many old vineyards by introducing modern agricultural and vinification techniques. Climatic conditions are typically Continental with warm days and cool nights. The soil is mostly silt with alluvial deposits and a large concentration of pebbles. The estate has 287 acres of old vineyards some of which exceed 100 years in age.
