El Coto winery is located in Oyón (Álava). The vineyards are located in Cenicero (Rioja Alta), close to the Najerilla river (a tributary to the Ebro river), facing Northwest and with a, predominantly, ferric-clayey soil. The respite of the grapes comes from selected winegrowers in Rioja Alavesa.

At present, EL COTO DE RIOJA is considering being one of the leading 'bodegas' in Spain, and the wines are exported throughout the world.

Along its short history, EL COTO DE RIOJA has firmly kept to its initial guiding lines, as well as to its labels and other characteristic features. Definitely, this fidelity to their own personality has placed it among the great names in Rioja.
