Les Crêtes is one of only a few privately owned commercial wineries and is the most well-known in Valle D’Aosta, an alpine valley that is enclosed on three sides by the Italian, French and Swiss Alps located close to Mont Blanc. The producer of what is often described as the best white wine made in Italy, Les Crêtes was founded in 1989 by sixth generation Valle d’Aostan winemaker Costantino Charrère. Today he is joined by his family that shares his passion. The winery, located in Aymavilles, owns 25 hectares of vineyards, set in 6 villages all along the Dora Baltea river. The vineyard cultivation is based on a great respect for the soil and the ecosystem and combines traditions with technical innovations to upgrade and support the terroir.
