1776. In Philadelphia was founded the United States of America; Louis Roederer Champagne were born in Reims. Two and a half centuries later,, Louis Roederer is still on independent family business. In the words of Prince Salina: " Everything must change so that everything can stay the same". The succeeding genartions have been able to maintain, but also to enrich the Roederer tradition, to create a wine that is amongst the most prestigious in the world. It has to be said that the inheritors of Philadelphia have also managed quite well!
A Passion for great wines and a desire to compensate for the limits that the "Chateau Policy" naturally imposes on the development of Louis Roederer Champagne have. Over the years, driven Jean Claude and then Frederic Rouzaud to acquire and exclusive group of properties around the Champagne House in Reims which, although managed truly independently, share the same philosophy of excellance, and today make up the "Louis Roederer Group".
