The R. L. Buller & Son vineyard, situated 450 feet above sea-level, has a hot climate. The weather is continental and ranges from very sunny to moderately arid with little humidity. Temperatures range from 10 degrees C - 35 degrees C with mean January temperature of 22.7. The alluvial flats with gentle slopes and hard red duplex overlaying yellow-grey clay are typical of the Rutherglen region.
It can be hard work running a family business, but brothers in wine, Rick and Andrew Buller, would have it no other way. Rick oversees management of our Beverford winery while Andrew is winemaker / manager of the Calliope vineyards and Rutherglen winery.
