The name Terrapura loosely translates to pure earth, from the spanish tierra pura. Terrapura consists of five value priced Chilean wines with the grapes coming from top vineyards in the Colchagua and Curico regions within the Central Valley of Chile. Terrapura Winery started by Alfonso Undurraga Marimon in 2006. The grapes that comprise the Terrapura wines are carefully monitored by Alfonso and his partner and winemaker, Jose Miguel Ovalle. They work closely with the growers on the care and management of the vines in order to ensure that only the finest grapes are brought to the winery and vinified under strict guidelines.
